Mark B. Kislinger, PhD, MD graduated magna cum laude and Phi Betta Kappa from Berkeley. He majored in math and physics and won the award for top undergraduate in physics. Dr. Kislinger received a PhD in Physics from Caltech where he worked with Nobel prize winner Richard Feynman. He was on the faculty of the University of Chicago and the Enrico Fermi Institute for six years before going to medical school at the University of Miami PhD MD program, which accepted only 18 students per year.

Vicky Pai, MD is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at The Foothill Eye Institute. She grew up in Maryland and came to Los Angeles to obtain her undergraduate and medical degree at UCLA. She then completed her ophthalmology residency training at Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. During her time at UCLA she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She also participated in research with the distinguished faculty at UCLA and presented her research at The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.

Dr. Shahem Kawji is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the retina and vitreous at Foothill Eye Institute.

Michael Savetsky, MD is a Cornea/External disease Specialist at Foothill Eye Instititute. He grew up in New York and obtained his medical degree at Tel Aviv University. He completed his Internal Medicine year at Richmond University Medical Center and went on to complete his Ophthalmology residency training at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He received his Cornea and Refractive Surgery training at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.

Dr. Jessica Wong is a glaucoma specialist at the Foothill Eye Institute. She is a Southern California native. Born and raised near Pasadena, after high school she obtained a B.A. in Psychology at Brown University, where she was a member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Honor Society. She returned to Los Angeles where she obtained her M.D. at the University of Southern California, graduating with Highest Distinction. She then completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a glaucoma fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard University.

Golareh Fazilat, MD is a pediatric ophthalmologist specializing in strabismus and amblyopia in Foothill Eye Medical Center. Previous to joining Foothill Eye Medical Group, she served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) and The Vision Center at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Fazilat received her B.S. in Biology from George Mason University in Virginia with honors. She was then awarded a grant for a research project at the NIH for two years at the National Eye Institute (NEI). Dr. Fazilat earned her medical degree with honors from Howard University, and completed her Ophthalmology residency at George Washington University. She completed her fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine at USC and Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She has been involved in several research projects and had presentations in various meetings. Dr. Fazilat's research priorities include clinical characteristics of pattern exotropia in children and intravitreal bevacizumab in the treatment of CSME, exudative ARMD and the treatment of retinal vein occlusion associated with CME. She also studies the effect of sleep deprivation on the performance of simulated cataract extractions. Dr. Fazilat has presented at national and regional meetings, and is an active lecturer and respected physician in the community. Dr. Fazilat is a strong patient advocate and believes that compassionate care is instrumental in achieving the desired outcomes.

Dr. Qui Vu is a glaucoma specialist at the Foothill Eye Institute. She grew up in Norwalk, CA and attended Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs, CA. She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science. She attended medical school and finished her internal medicine internship at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She then completed an ophthalmology residency and served as Chief Resident at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Dr. Vu received additional training in glaucoma by completing a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Adam Hsu is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in Oculoplasty at Foothill Eye Institute.

I have served as a medical optometrist for the Foothill Eye Medical Group for the past 20 years managing and co-managing the whole spectrum of medical conditions that can occur at a busy comprehensive ophthalmology office. My main emphasis though is in glaucoma and diabetic eye care. I have been glaucoma certified since 2004 and Therapeutic Prescription Authority certified since 1998 in the state of California.

I attended California State University at Fullerton for my undergraduate studies and Illinois College of Optometry at the Illinois Eye Institute for my Optometry degree. Currently, in addition to my duties as a clinician, I speak for Allergan and Alcon on their glaucoma medications all along the west coast. I also sit on the advisory board for the annual Allergan glaucoma meeting in Costa Mesa.

I have been married for 33 years to my wife Susan and have 3 daughters. I spend most of my free time traveling around the country watching my daughters play softball.
